Stoneware, electric kiln, glazed interior only - porous unglazed exterior

A form that looks like it was found, not made. Built by hand without a plan - the structure emerged through the process of intuitive handbuilding. Cavities, openings and curved walls that hold shadow differently at every hour of the day. The exterior surface is left unglazed - raw, porous, close to the material as it exists before fire. The interior is glazed to hold water. A single stem placed inside disappears into the structure. The vase becomes the landscape. One of a kind. Made in Berlin.

Intuitive handbuilding - no sketch, no predetermined form. The structure grew from the clay as the hands moved, layer by layer. Fired in an electric kiln. Glazed on the interior only to hold water - the exterior remains unglazed and porous, preserving the raw texture of the stoneware body after firing.
