Soft Drip Cup

Stoneware, soft blue glaze, naked clay base

The glaze stops where it wants to. Soft blue applied to the upper half - dripping, pooling, stopping at its own edge. Below the glaze line: raw stoneware, unglazed, the clay as it came from the kiln. The geometric handle is a single angular loop - not round, not pulled. Deliberate. A cup for coffee, tea, or whatever ritual starts your morning. Holds heat well. Feels different in each hand. One of a kind. Made in Berlin.

Process

Wheel-thrown stoneware. Soft blue glaze applied by hand to the upper portion only - the glaze line is left to find its own edge during firing. The lower half remains unglazed, showing the raw texture of the stoneware body. The angular handle is attached by hand after throwing. Fired in an electric kiln.
