SI-001 Silt Cup - Clean Horizon
Stoneware, iron oxide slip, stainless steel wire
Wheel-thrown stoneware cup, 250ml, cream iron oxide glaze, hand-fitted stainless steel wire band. Part of the SILT collection - the lightest tone I make in this range. Use and care: - 250ml - a full coffee or tea - Interior: clear, food-safe glaze; fired to 1240°C - Hand wash recommended to preserve the wire finish - Stoneware and wire may feel warm with hot contents - normal for handmade stoneware
Process
How I make it: - Same iron oxide, but I mix it thinner for this one, so it fires cream instead of dark rust - Applied with my fingers, same as the rest of the range - Wire groove carved while trimming, wire fitted by hand after firing
