Nature Face - Guardian

Stoneware, blue glaze, intuitive handbuilding

A spirit. A guardian. A messenger between worlds. This face came from intuition - first the shape appeared, then it was refined. For me it is a nature spirit, arriving directly from another plane where forms do not yet have their final shape but already carry intention. The irregular surface, carved openings and two eyes carry different expressions depending on where you stand. The blue glaze pools in the hollows, the warm clay shows through at the edges. 24 x 14 cm. Hang it where it can watch the room. It was made with good intention - and it carries that intention into every space it enters. One of a kind. Made in Berlin.

Intuitive handbuilding - no sketch, no plan. The face emerged from the clay as the hands moved. Built layer by layer, openings carved before firing. Blue glaze applied by hand, fired at high temperature. The glaze and the bare clay interact differently in each area - the result belongs as much to the material as to the maker.
