MI-002 Mire Bowl

Stoneware, anthracite glaze, stainless steel wire

Wheel-thrown stoneware bowl, 230ml. Solid anthracite grey glaze, wrapped in a band of stainless steel - LELEK's signature join. Handmade in Berlin. Use and care: - 230ml - big enough for a real side dish, not just a trinket bowl - Interior: clear, food-safe glaze; fired to 1240°C - Hand wash recommended to preserve the wire finish

Process

How I make it: - Same simple-shape approach as the rest of Mire - I don't want the form fighting with the glaze and wire - One even glaze dip, no hand-painted slip - Wire groove carved during trimming, wire fitted by hand after firing
